DIY Canvas Decor

I love this and I am so going to utilize it for our own home.
Its super easy to make. Get your base, I recommend a wood board. You’ll also need some foam liner (its like a thick white fabric you’d find under chair cushions) and some fabric you like. And of course, your handy staple gun!
  1. Clean your wood board so that you’re not trapping any dirt underneath but dont wet it because it might start to mold.
  2. First put down your foam fabric. I recommend putting a little bit of glue on the upper corners of the board just so it doesn’t move around too much. Just your simple craft glue would work.
  3. Make sure that there is atleast an inch or two hanging off each side. Flip the board over and pull the excess foam liner tightly over the sides. Staple this down. You dont need too many staples for this, just enough to keep it down. (you don’t want a bunch of staples in your way when you staple your fabric!)
  4. Last step is pretty much the same as the previous except replace the foam liner with the fabric ( Minus the glue part ) Make sure you put it on tightly. This, you can staple to your hearts content.

You can take the same idea and make your own cork board!
Just replace the foam liner with cork! Add a snazzy frame and you’re set!!

SIDE NOTE: If you want it to look more like a work of art… cover canvas with fabric! Although instead of just stapling I recommend using some Modge Podge on your surface and on the fabric. Just brush it over and under for a smooth finish.
