To paint or not to paint?

I'm getting my real big desk back from my dad and Im thinking if putting it in our bedroom

The large opening is perfect for the small flat screen TV we have

and I can still utilize it as a study

( multi functional )

Its a lot to paint, specially for someone with little experience painting furniture.

But I was hoping of brightening it up.

Option A.

A matte white with a little hint of teal distressed

and maybe spraying the knobs a flat black

But this is A LOT of work and a big chance of oopsies

Option B.

Stripping it down and doing an aged look

Option C.

Leaving it but adding colored paper or fabric

to line the backing to match the rest of the room.
